Construction of the new Port Athena business district in the city centre starts in July
Kaarsilla Real Estate and Embach Ehitus signed a construction contract for Port Athena. Construction between Tigutorn, Ahhaa and the Aura centre is expected to start in July.
The name of Port Athena, which consists of five buildings, is inspired by the nearby harbour and Tartu as the Athens of the Emajõgi River.
The complex will be located in a commercially and logistically attractive area between Tigutorn, Ahhaa and Aura centres, with a pedestrian street on the waterfront side and a developing riverside promenade on the river side. Convenient access is ensured for users of public transport and all other major means of transport. Thanks to the nearby bridges, there is a fast connection to the opposite bank of the Emajõgi River for both pedestrians and motor vehicles.
The first two buildings of the business quarter, just minutes from the centre of Tartu, will be completed in 2026. in June and the next three by the end of the same year…
